SPEECH-LANGUAGE
PATHOLOGY

When people hear “Speech therapy”, they often think of someone who fixes children’s “r” sounds or helps correct a lisp. While this is also part of what we do, speech-language pathology is so much more, it’s a very broad profession.

While we don’t do it all, we do a lot more than you might think. We address multiple areas concerning language and speech, but did you know we also work with swallowing difficulties, voice disorders, and social skills? We can even help kids with literacy difficulties.

If your child is unable to understand what he or she is being taught in school and maybe has a language deficit or if you wish mealtimes were easier and eating wasn't such a struggle for your child, you could turn to a speech-language pathologist for help. If you hear a raspy quality to your child's voice that isn't quite right, yet again, a speech therapist can be of assistance.

If you didn't know that, you may be surprised to learn that speech-language pathologists also work with adults following stroke or other neurological events as well those with neurological processes such as Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia, among others.

In our clinic, we focus on myofunctional disorders  and fluency difficulties in adults.
